Panthers vs 49ers Live

Panthers vs 49ers Live; After a fairly dull Vikings win over Washington on Thursday, an almost fully packed slate of NFL Week 8 action should bring some better games Sunday. The 13 games on the docket include the undefeated Patriots taking on the underperforming but talented Browns and the red-hot Packers heading to Arrowhead Stadium to face the injury-depleted Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.

How can I watch my local team’s NFL games?

For teams in your local market — Jets fans in New York and New Jersey, Pats fans in Massachusetts, and so on — you’ll be able to watch your local team’s games on a major local network channel.

Games are typically broadcast on CBS and Fox on Sunday afternoons. National broadcasts are shown on NBC on Sunday nights, ESPN on Monday nights and the NFL Network on Thursday nights. Most of the Thursday night games are simulcast on Fox, Amazon Prime and Twitch. (Note that CBS is the parent company of CNET.)

There is also NFL RedZone to consider, a channel that springs to life each fall and shows live coverage from around the league with the promise to show you every touchdown from every Sunday afternoon game. It’s a great way to watch out-of-market action and essential viewing for fantasy football GMs.

Week 8 match up facing the Carolina Panthers with a few unexpected players on the injury list.

Tight end Levine Toilolo, who has been very valuable as a blocker, appeared on the injury report as questionable with a groin injury. Shanahan is hopeful that the next day and a half will help him get healthy enough to play on Sunday. Not having the tight end available would be a huge challenge schematically for the coaching staff.

With tackles Mike McGlinchey and Joe Staley and fullback Kyle Juszczyk out for several weeks, coach Kyle Shanahan has relied heavily on his group of tight ends for support at the line of scrimmage.

Staley participated in individual drills this week and did feel a little soreness after the fact. With the short week ahead, traveling to Arizona for a Thursday night game, Shanahan does not want to have Staley play on Sunday if it will hinder his chances to play again on Thursday.

Marquise Goodwin missed two practices during the week for personal reasons and for that reason, has been listed as questionable. Shanahan said the team is respecting the right to privacy for the wide receiver who has dealt with several family tragedies during his time with the 49ers.

The addition of Emmanuel Sanders to the wide receivers’ room gives Shanahan and the coaching staff a modicum of flexibility with the possibility of Goodwin being unavailable. Shanahan was very clear in his final press conference before the game that Sanders would play, “a lot.”
